Installation for the Volgograd Region's exhibition

The project was done on a tight deadline and the 2.1 minute result was to include the following: 

1) Serene, quiet pre-war Volgograd, designed in the style of old black-and-white photography and watercolors. 
Retro-Volgograd (Peaceful pre-war time)
-Creating a scene through Matte-painting
-Displaying views of the city through animation, changing color palette
-Immersion in the life of the time, the appearance of people and transportation

2) The beginning of the war - panorama of the destroyed city, burning houses, columns of black smoke and ashes, the sky is filled with enemy bombers, bombs are flying, explosions, fire, sparks.

-Sound effects of falling and exploding shells

3) Map with enemy planes - showing large-scale destruction of the city

4) Winter burnt and destroyed city, tanks are driving along the streets, black smoke is stretching into the heavy overhanging sky.

5)Spring comes, birds arrive, ruins are covered with greenery and flowers - the beginning of life in Volgograd.

6) Summer modern Volgograd (embankment) - filled with sun and glare.
